Often referred as"the Junkyard Queen' or The Junkster' Mary is known for her collections of antiques that she gathered from different auctions estate sales and storage facilities. Mary started working at the Architectural Digest Magazine under Paige Rense's direction after earning her diploma in photojournalism. She then created the magazine's own Mary Finds section. Within this section, instructional videos were given on how to decorate and renovate your house. Following her return to Texas she set up a store with the same name, which was a specialist in antiques. A&E Television spied her in her antiques shops and she was invited to take part in Texas Storage wars. The show ran for three seasons and was a huge success. Because of her fame her popularity, she was able to be an actor in the initial season of Storage Wars during its fifth season. Storage Wars was a part of her life for subsequent seasons. She has been on and off the reality show until the 12th season.
